How to make money in Everquest2 (2009-05-19)
How to get money in Everquest2? Anyone who has ever played Everquest2 knows that one of the most challenging parts of the game is being able to get money. Of course, if you want to be the best, it is going to take lots of game cash- Everquest2 gold. Acquiring that wealth is not always the easiest thing to do. There are several ways to get Everquest2 Platinum that can be done from any level. The first thing you should do is to start questing. Almost all quests in the game offer some sort of Everquest2 money reward. As you get higher in level, the monetary rewards will get higher. But even at the lowest levels the money earned from doing as many quests as you can adds up quickly and is a very effective way to get Everquest2 platinum. The second way is to start harvesting. Harvesting raw crafting materials is a great way to get on the path to earn Everquest2 Gold. There are a lot of people who trade skill in the game, but do not like to go out and get their own supplies. They would rather simply buy them off the broker. So, make sure to keep your harvesting skills up as you level. Rare harvested items will sell better than common ones, but they all can bring in a nice little chunk of change. Sometimes you may be surprised at how much common trade skill supplies will sell for in EQ2. Many people overlook this money making opportunity, but it is one of the quickest ways to get EQ2 Plat. Third, you can learn a craft. Take the time to learn a trade skill. The products than can be player made often sell quite well on the game broker. Some of the best crafted items are adept III spells and combat arts made by sages, jewelers and alchemists, potions and poisons made by alchemists, food and drink items made by provisioners, and ability totems made by wood workers. These items are expendable, which means that people need a never ending supply of them. Level up a trade skill profession, place your products on the broker for sale and watch the money start rolling in. This is an excellent way to get Everquest2 Money over and over again. Fourth, go to hunt for shinies. Shinies, those little yellow question marks found on the ground, are a hot commodity in EQ2. They are collected in sets and turned in to a Collector for items and experience. Spend an hour or so a day combing through various zones and gathering up as many of those question marks as you can get your hands on. Place them on the game broker. These things sell like crazy and are easy to acquire from any zone. Fifth, you can get rid of the junk. As you are leveling you will often pick up loot that seems like just junk. Things like enchanted water, or some bird beak. Don't just decline those or destroy them. Often times they can be sold to a vendor for a tidy little sum. All those little things start adding up towards a lot of extra EQ2 money. Sixth, Sell unnecessary Master spells on the broker. When you are out questing and exquisite chests drop, they have a chance of holding a Master I spell. Most often, these are not for your class. There is a lot of cash to be made from selling these on the game broker. Even the lower level ones go for quite a bit of gold and master spells over level 70 can sell from 50 EQ2 Plat to 200 EQ2 Plat, depending on what it is for. Selling off those excess Master I drops is a fast way to make a lot of Everquest2 platinum.

It is a good way of earning Everquest2 Platinum by getting some collecting tasks from a wholesaler. If you got a collecting task, you can have three ways to get the resource needed: collecting from a suitable, trading with other players or buy from a broker (charge for some Everquest2 Plat). If you can’t collect certain things, it means that you haven’t enough spells. Generally speaking, only owning 40 points of spell, you can collect things in the Antonica plain or the Commonlands. With spell points of 90, you can go to Thundering Steppes and Nektulos Forest. Because of the latest update, you can go to collect in n the Antonica plain or the Commonlands with 20 spell points. For other areas, you maybe need higher spell points. If you saw some “?” on the ground, click the left key to pick them up. There are the items for collecting tasks. You can get good rewards after finishing these tasks. You can resort to a broker for the items you are short of. Of course, you must pay some Everquest2 Gold for these items. Some collecting items are very rare. If you have collected an unknown ore/ stone/ wood, you shouldn’t sell it to a merchant. When making things, the quality of your product depends on the main material you used. If the main material is shaped, so the best quality of your product can only be shaped. For a pristine product, your main material must be pristine. The quality of other material doesn’t matter at all. This means that you use the second material when making an item, if your product is still rough, you can stop the making of this product. After you made a new item, you can gain some experience points as an artisan. When you grade of artisan is up, you can make different items. In addition, making a pristine item can let get more experience points than those of others.

EverQuest II Producer’s Letter, January 2009 (2009-02-02)
Hello there! Hard to believe it's the end of January already; it still feels like we just shipped The Shadow Odyssey just last week. And here I am again, with a brief update for all of you folks who love EQII so much.
First, let me thank you for your support on The Shadow Odyssey. It truly was a labor of love for the entire team, and we've been enjoying your comments about it, and watching you devour the content we toiled so long over. But now that we've got that out the door, we're looking ahead. Last summer, at Fan Faire, we discussed making some changes to the Fighter classes, in order to bring them back in line with our original vision, where all fighters manage their own aggro, instead of relying on other group members to channel them some hate. Making some of these changes will broaden the desirability of all fighter classes, and help increase their role in groups, without altering others.
We released the first part of these changes last year, and placed the second group of them out on our Test Server several weeks ago. The response has been tremendous, on both sides of the coin. Chris Kozak, who has been shepherding these changes, has been communicating with folks on our forums about what he has been looking at, what changes he wants to make. He has also been doing some ad-hoc testing with players on the Test Server, where these changes are currently implemented. The whole team has been taking feedback from you, both from our in-game /feedback function, as well as the posts in our forums, and even information posted in other forums.
There are still some things we want to make sure that we address properly, and we recognize that there are some people who don't quite understand what our goals are. With that in mind, we're going to postpone releasing these changes to the live servers, while we continue to evaluate the feedback that you are giving us. We truly appreciate all of the data that you provide, and most particularly from those who have joined the excellent folks on the Test server in running through these changes, both on their own, and in conjunction with the devs. In fact, if you play a fighter class now, and haven't been on the Test Server to experience these changes yourself, we'd certainly encourage you to do so, as your informed opinions are very valuable to us. Once we're more comfortable with releasing the second part of the fighter revamp, which will include the Hate Meter, we'll certainly let you know, but in the meantime, please keep play-testing, and continue to give us your thoughts.
In the meantime, we've got some other exciting things coming up in the next several weeks. Everyone's favorite love holiday, Erollisi Day starts on February 10, and will run for a week, with an exciting new quest line. We've also got the next expansion for Legends of Norrath, Against the Void, which will expand the epic journey of the Ethernauts.
Just around the corner, we've got some hotly anticipated releases coming in our game updates, including some new solo content, more x2 content, some more x4 raids, additional tradeskill content, and a revamp of an old zone...all this and more coming your way soon! There's not a doubt in my mind that you're going to be blown away throughout this year in EverQuest II.
