How to get money in EverQuest? Many people who has ever played Everquest may ask this question. As everybody knows, EverQuest has an extended version- EverQuest 2. Basically the gameplays of these two games are similar. So they have the same methods to make money too. Acquiring that wealth is not always the easiest thing to do. Ways to get EverQuest Plat is illustated as below. The first thing you should do is to start questing. Almost all quests in the game offer some sort of EverQuest money reward. As you get higher in level, the monetary rewards will get higher. But even at the lowest levels the money earned from doing as many quests as you can adds up quickly and is an effective way to get EverQuest platinum. The second way is to start harvesting. Harvesting raw crafting materials is a great way to get on the path to earn EverQuest Gold. Rare harvested items will sell better than common ones. Sometimes you may be surprised at how much common trade skill supplies will sell for in EQ. Many people overlook this money making opportunity, but it is one of the quickest ways to get EverQuest Plat. Third, you can learn a craft. Take the time to learn a trade skill. The products than can be player made often sell quite well on the game broker. These items are expendable, which means that people need a never ending supply of them. Level up a trade skill profession, place your products on the broker for sale and watch the money start rolling in. This is an excellent way to get EverQuest Money over and over again. Fourth, Sell unnecessary Master spells on the broker. When you are out questing and exquisite chests drop, they have a chance of holding a Master I spell. There is a lot of cash to be made from selling these on the game broker. Even the lower level ones go for quite a bit of gold and master spells over level 70 can sell from 50 EQ Plat to 200 EQ Plat, depending on what it is for. Selling off those excess Master I drops is a fast way to make a lot of EverQuest platinum.

Smedley Talks EverQuest (2009-02-01)
Gamasutra features an interview with SOE president John Smedley, in which they chat about the challenges of operating a game that turns 10 years old this March. Yup, that would be EverQuest! They also go into Station Cash and consoles.
How do you keep the original EverQuest popular after this long?
John Smedley: The game is still going very strong. It's still one of the mainstays of our revenue. I don't give out numbers, but it's still very profitable for us, and it's also coming up on its 10-year anniversary on March 16. We're still doing expansion packs for it; we've still got a live team on it. We've managed to keep the costs in line.
EQ 10th Anniversary Book Art Unveiled (2009-01-12)
SOE is making the rounds at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and today they unveiled the exclusive cover art being used for an upcoming book which recounts how EverQuest became a global phenomenon. The book, published by BradyGames, will be available for purchase online and at select retailers in North America later this year for a suggested retail price of $49.99.
